New Red Bull Jersey. Same as the Old Red Bull Jersey. Almost.
By: Laurie | February 26th, 2008
You know when you’re little, and you get those puzzles with two pictures? And you have to figure out what’s different between the two of them?
This is kind of like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, take a look at the brand spankin’ new Red Bull home jersey.
And now take a look at the…um…brand spankin’ old Red Bull home jersey.
Strikingly different, huh? (Aside from the fact that the colors in the second photo are lousy.)
I finally broke down and asked Dave Martinez over at Red Bull Offside what the difference was. His response:
Yeah, not much has changed on the home jersey, except for the new style crest. But if you look at the away kit, they still have the old RB logo (it’s a prototype jersey is my guess.)
It’s kind of like mothers being able to tell their identical twins apart. I guess it’s all about love.
However, the new away jersey is, in my opinion, one of the coolest in the league. (And it is actually different from the old version.) I’d buy one myself, except for the tiny detail that wearing it might imply that I was a Red Bulls fan.
(Photos and topic cheerfully pilfered from Dave at Red Bulls Offside.)
