One way to supplement a Meager MLS Salary

By: Bob | October 11th, 2006

bobby-boswell.jpgIt is well documented that a lot of Major League Soccer players aren’t paid very much. In the case of DC United defender Bobby Boswell, an all-star player this year by the way, he’ll earn about $30,000 this season.

With that kind of income, who can blame the guy for trying to find alternative ways to pad his bank account and who can blame the league for trying to help him out?

MLS is currently championing Boswell’s cause in the Cosmopolitan Magazine Man Hunt. The prize if Boswell wins is package of items valued at $15,000, presumably that includes a lifetime supply of cosmetics.

The voting ends on October 12th so do your part do advance soccer in the United States by voting early and vote often. Just don’t watch Boswell’s video. It might make you want to vote for that pre-med guy from Pennsylvania instead.
