The Beckhams’ $22 million Hollywood Home

I am too depressed to muster the effort to write much about the $22 million house that will be home sweet home for David Beckham and his clan when they move to the United States this summer. All along I had my heart set on them living in Meg Ryan’s old digs, but instead they will be having potluck dinners with their new neighbors Tomkat. Hollywood sure is going to hell in a handbasket (side note: interesting expression, isn’t it?). You used to be able to get a six-bedroom, nine-bathroom abode in that town and not have to live in a neighborhood full of Scientologists always knocking on your door hoping to save your soul and/or ask to borrow some hair gel. Those were the days.
