There just isn't enough support to get through one. But since every party involved knows that, I'd like to think a deal will be made. Anything that stops allowing a professional keeper to make less than $13,000 a year is fine by me. That is ridiculously low for a full-time athlete. Yeah, a strike would absolutely sink MLS. The Union will probably try to get the developmental classification abolished (ie the classification under which the players can be paid the 12,900s and the 17,900s) and the senior roster classification floor of 33,000 will also be pushed as well as quantity of roster spots.
