I agree with you, finnegan. I play too, and I’ve never dived either. I didn’t mean it was an excuse. I just mean that people make mistakes, and although I’ve never made that one, I’ve made my share. He should be punished, and if this sort of thing happens next year in the SPL, the player will be, because of the video replay punishment rule they’ll be testing out.

no, no, no, that is no excuse ian rose. as a player myself, I’ve never, ever taken a dive. and I get lots of cards getting in the opposition’s face for diving themselves. but ultimately I think I’m in the right because a bunch of people around the world, who may or may not watch soccer, think lesser of it because they see diving in the headlines, or they see italy dive their way into the final of the world cup (and win it).
