The Hand of God: Scottish Edition

By: chris | January 28th, 2009

Would that make it “Hand of Apostle” or something? Don’t know. What we do know is this is one of the most blatant handballs in the history of ever and the fact that he got away with it means this entire refereeing crew should be reassigned to Brazil. Despite Bryan Prunty being a giant numpty, Kilmarnock were still able to beat his Ayr United 3-1 to advance in the Scottish Cup.

Isn’t it dramatically ironic for this to happen, of all places, in Scotland? You know, after all that Maradona-Terry Butcher hand-shaking drama?

Good to see justice done with that ‘goal’ not being the difference between the two teams. As well as a dodgy sending off for a slight tap to the face followed by some incredible overacting. Not a great advertisement for Ayr football club.
