Cassano Likes Pre-Game Quickies

For all the moonlit romance one might experience during a jaunt to Italy, there’s also Antonio Cassano, a man who obviously knows how to please the ladies in a, shall we say, “efficient” manner. It’s no surprise Talentino likes good drink, good food and good, sometimes great, women. The surprise for him is that he’s been able to find at least the women in Genoa, after leaving gorgeous women hot spots in Rome and Madrid, if not the ambrosia. And above all, the women who before the games.

Anybody who’s ever heard the name Antonio Cassano knows his toddler-esque petulance and off-the-field shenanigans have outweighed his immeasurable talent over the last couple years. So I’m sure his public proclamations of pre-game “organized meetings” aren’t sitting well with the Blucerchiati suits, who are also currently trying to broker a deal making his stay in Genoa permanent. Or maybe they don’t care. If scoring off the field helps him score on, then who the hell cares, I guess.

“I didn’t really want to move to Genoa [Sampdoria] because I had been told that it was a dead city,” said Cassano.

“Instead however I discovered that the locals are very friendly and there are lots of nice women around. This latter factor is fundamental for me.

“Are we allowed women in the build-up before matches? Well you simply have to organise it. You take a room upstairs and then quickly you meet up with them.”

The fact that the nightlife in the city weighed heavily on his choice of club really shows how little Cassano has actually matured since his less-than-amicable exit from Serie A in the winter of ‘06. The women, though….well I guess everyone can agree that having a good woman by their side makes the world of difference. (Even if it’s only for a minute or two.)
