Inter Milan is Starting to Look Pretty Good
By: Bob | August 7th, 2006
The speculated departure of Argentina forward Hernan Crespo from Stamford Bridge is no longer speculation. Inter Milan announced today that they have acquired Crespo on a free loan from Chelsea. The London club does have the right to bring Crespo back after his first year in Milan.
Crespo left Inter in 2003 when he signed with Chelsea for a cool 24.9 million Euros. He never quite fit in at Stamford Bridge and with Chelsea’s acquisition of Andriy Shevchenko this summer the writing was on the wall for Crespo.
“In August 2003 I left Inter in tears but today I return with a smile,” Crespo said in a news conference today.
“They (Chelsea) love me and I love them a lot. They have been treating me very well, but I’d prefer to go to Italy because I feel more comfortable socially. They understood my situation.”
Inter Milan, which was awarded the Serie A title last season after the shite hit the fan with Juventus and AC Milan, is quickly building a team that should have the talent to win the league outright this season.
In addition to Crespo, Inter has added Patrick Vieira, Fabio Grosso, and Olivier Dacourt this summer. Crespo will partner with Brazil striker Adriano.

Hey, quite perplexed, why would Crespo leave Inter at first place then if he was crying? I didnt really think Inter forced him out. Was he lured out by the Roman emperor’s seemingly unlimited treasure?
Yea, happiness is a different thing. I got it. I’d better have a wage cut and live happily in Milan then doubling my paycheck and live under the regime of the not-so-special-after all ‘Special One’ Mr.Mourinho.
