It has great interest rates and you get Ronaldinho instead of cash back

Now that Ronaldinho has officially joined all the rest of us fatties, AC Milan, the Jenny Craig of Serie A, are apparently interested in having him join fellow rotund countryman Ronaldo on their team. Like any big purchase – a car, a home, a television – Milan would like to pay with credit instead of cash.

Speaking at a news conference to announce the new Carta Viva Milan credit card, AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani encouraged his club’s fans to get out their and start charging.

“…with this card we can buy Ronaldinho, because the Mastercard network also exists in Spain, so we can pay in installments.

“We can really sign Ronaldinho – if the eight million Milan supporters sign up for and use this card.”

Yes, nothing like banking on your supporters accumulating credit card debt in order to have success on the pitch. The plan sounds almost as feasible as placing a bet on Ronaldinho.
