Italian Season to Start Fashionably Late
By: Bob | August 1st, 2006
With the scandal that will not die still brewing, the Italian Football Federation has pushed back the start of the Serie A and Serie B campaigns by a couple of weeks. For those of you who plan your life around football (may you all be blessed), you should know that when you turn on the telly on August 27 you won’t see the normal diving, shirt pulling and beautiful hair that make Italian football, well, Italian football. Instead you will have to wait until September 9 to see fans throw toilet bowls and car parts on the pitch.
As you know by now, Juventus and the other scandalized clubs are busy working their magic in the courtrooms, hence the impetus to start the season later than previously scheduled.
