Nobody Puts Fiorentina In A Corner

photo_verybig_114269The move of Dimitar Berbatov to Fiorentina was always a strange one due to wages, if the Viola have been missing an dark-haired Eastern European who could play Dracula in the pitch since Adrian Mutu departed Firenze to not pay his Chelsea debts. It never happened, of course, Dimitar choosing Fulham instead, Fiorentina playing the part of the spurned flame, released a series of official press releases stating solely, “I NEVER LOVED U ANYWAY!!!!”*

* – Might be fabricated.

But considering his behavior, they’re pursuing him for flight costs.

Fiorentina are still furious after being snubbed by Berbatov, who chose to join Fulham from Manchester United instead. The Serie A side claim they had already paid for the 31-year-old and his agent to fly to Italy before being gazumped.

The Fiorentina sporting director Daniel Prade said he will pursue Emil Dantchev for the cost of the duo’s airline tickets and other expenses.

“I’m glad that he did not arrive,” Prade told Radio Blu. “We will request to his agent the money we paid for their flight to come to Florence, 100%.”

Nobody puts Fiorentina in a corner. Nobody.
