Ronaldinho: Still Got It, Shevchenko: Maybe Not

By: Daryl | September 3rd, 2008

Dedicated YouTuber Maestro 21 has put together highlights of Ronaldinho’s debut for AC Milan against Bologna. Yes, Milan lost 2-1 and yes, any player can look good if you edit together their best moments. But there’s definitely enough evidence here to suggest old Gaucho has still got it.

Lots of shimmys and even a few flashes of that famous toothy smile. And the assist on Milan’s only goal with a cross to Massimo Ambrosini. Things may get a bit more complicated when Kaka returns from injury, but right now it’s all looking good for Ronaldinho.

Not looking so good is Andriy Shevchenko. The returning hero came off the bench in the second half, and you can see his very Sheva-at-Chelsea-esque miss at around the 2:15 mark where Ronaldinho’s excellent pass presents the Ukrainian striker with a golden chance… and Sheva hits the post.

Sheva didnt hit the bar, the keeper slid and parried the ball with his foot/shin. So it wasn’t as bad as a total sitter.

I always said R10 would get back to his best if he was somewhere new. I think he’s going to be quality this season.

It’s good to see Ronaldinho enjoying the game again, even though he plays for Milan.

Yes R10 had a great game on Sunday it’s a shame that none of the strikers didn’t score with all these beautiful passes and cross . I hope he’ll keep doing it and who knows he took FC Barcelona from the UEFA Cup to win the C.L. hopefully he’ll do the same with AC Milan . Pachet5@hotmail.com / Pachet83@yahoo.fr/ Pachet14@aol.com
