Stefano Morrone Scores a Long Range Headed Own Goal

By: Daryl | April 17th, 2008

A little sympathy for Parma’s Stefano Morrone please. His team were already 2-0 down with less than 15 minutes to go, but Morrone somehow headed Tiago’s through ball past his own keeper – from outside the area – to make it 3-0.

In fairness to Morrone it seems the ball hit his head, as opposed to him heading the ball. But if he’d done that up the other end it would have been one of the greatest headed goals of all time.

  • This is simply the world righting itself because he had absolutely no business scoring this one a few weeks back:

The clip just needs some shots of Morrone collapsing in a heap and holding his hands over his face as he bemoans his misfortune. Watch out, Stefano, the ultras might key your car later.
