Udinese Would Like An Hour Of Your TimeBy: The Offside | February 4th, 2013
Mario Balotelli unexpectedly made his debut for Milan last evening after Giampaolo Pazzini went down in warmups, and he did okay – just two goals including the injury-time winner. But somehow, someone managed to steal the show from Balotelli – the referee. He awarded a rather horrific penalty, and everyone from the Udinese side was livid, while Massimiliano Allegri conceded it was very generous. So Udinese is taking a rather strange approach to their protests:
Udinese will continue their protest against referee Paolo Valeri by showing a still image of the San Siro penalty incident on their TV channel today – for a whole hour. A still picture of that challenge will be visible on Udinese Channel between 13.00 and 14.00 hours local time.
Presumably the five people who watch the Udinese Channel regularly will be very upset.
