Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Taekwondo Pass

By: Daryl | December 8th, 2008

Blink and you’ll miss it first time around, but wait for the replay and you can appreciate Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s acrobatic heel pass in slo-mo. Apparently Zlatan did some Taekwando in his youth, and seems he’s remembered a few moves.

What impresses me most though is that whenever we see the big Swede pulling out these kind of flicks, it’s more than just for show. That ball goes straight to Dejan Stanković’s feet.

Thanks to Marco mCalcio.com for the tip.

I wonder what button combination it takes for him to do that move on FIFA '09.

Old Apple got it perfectly... I feel the same way about Ronaldo...
  • Ibra still studies martial arts - Taekwondo and Kickboxing.

He says it keeps him limber.
  • MAD, typo fixed. Thanks for oh-so subtly pointing that out.

Unless I am very much mistaken, "Zlatab" currently practices some form of martial art.

Some interview he did on Inter.it, maybe this last summer - who can remember, he made reference to it helping him rehab from his injury and getting his fitness for this year.

    What an absolute genius.

what a badass...obviously 2 crotchety old dudes posted before me. pretty sure he understands more than an offside commenter ever truly will how to play the game..and he's got the sort of attitude that allows him to have the gall to try and succeed and things like that.

love the guy, love his skill. great stuff.

Another example how sublime Ibra can be and the talent he is. He sure likes doing those flyining heel kicks and flicks. Too bad he has such a horrible attitude. Fun to watch though when he feels like playing.

he is so ridiculously talented, but I wonder if he will ever truly understand how to play the game. I almost think his ridiculous talent holds him back
