Idiot Finally Punished for Knocking Juande Ramos Unconscious

The fool who thought it was OK to throw a bottle at Juande Ramos during last season’s Sevilla vs Real Betis Cope Del Rey game has finally received his punishment. An unnamed 31 year old (so it wasn’t Martin Jol then) is banned from all public sporting events for two years (I’d ban him from watching on TV too) and was also fined €4,680. Not much when it’s a player, but for Joe Public that’s a hefty sum. Even better he has to pay Juande Ramos €360 in compensation, which adds a nice personal touch.

You can see in the video (hat tip: The Original Winger) that the impact knocked Ramos out cold and he had to be stretchered off. But – in Hollywood comedy worthy style – the blow to the head also granted Juande Ramos incredible superpowers. Ramos regained consciousness after the Copa Del Rey game and went on to win the tournament with Sevilla. And then the UEFA Cup, the Supercopa de España and most recently the Carling Cup with Spurs. Coincidence?
