Maybe Drogba just likes Italian Food

The rumor mills are swirling with speculation involving some of the biggest names in football. At the center of today’s storm is AC Milan which might be suffering from match-fixing penalties as well as a need to spend some of that dough it will make for qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League.
Having failed to come to terms with Real Madrid over the transfer of Ronaldo and Robinho, AC Milan apparently now is trying to court striker Didier Drogba. The Ivory Coast and Chelsea player was spotted talking to AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliano in a Milan restaurant on Monday. Perhaps they were simply talking about the virtues of pesto, but more likely they were talking about the possibility of Drogba joining the Serie A side, which desperately wants a big time goal scorer to replace the Andriy Shevchenko who left for Chelsea this summer. This is all so incestual.
As if that weren’t interesting enough, evidently the world’s player of the year is less than happy with his coach in Barcelona. The tabloids are giddy at the thought that Ronaldinho might be ready to leave his team in Spain for….you guessed it….Chelsea or AC Milan. Ronaldinho has not been seen eating pasta nor has he been caught playing as AC Milan in his football video games, but he was left off the field during Barcelona’s season opening win yesterday.
All of this is mere speculation and if you spend the amount of time scanning the headlines every day you’ll see that there is no shortage of speculation in this world. Nevertheless, we’re starting to think that instead of playing the Kevin Bacon game at your next social gathering you should consider playing Six Degrees of Chelsea (or AC Milan).
