Worse for Bojan is that as a striker, there’s of course Ibra, but also Keirrison (on loan).

But he can play on the wings, right? Yes, true, but there’s now Pedro and Jeffren, two youngsters moving up from the Barca Youth system that are pure wingers, and thus, better at it than Bojan.

They’ll serve as back ups for Henry and Messi, (Pedro can do it now, Jeffren most probably has to wait until next season) and when Keirrison returns (if ever) he will be Ibra’s back up. Bojan…….?

So he has a ton of competition to deal with, and that can only serve to hamper his progress. Who knows how that whole situation is going to conclude.

Decent form or not, Raúl has been scoring loads over the last 2 seasons and was the best scorer in the Pre-season for Real. It’s really odd how people still think he’s playing just because of hes name…
And even back when he was ‘out of shape’ he was really important player for real, with he’s high workrate and easy simple passes at the middle of the park he does lot of things no other Real Madrid forward is doing…

Bojan go on loan or do a buy back deal like Real does with Negredo. Solve that problem. First team football and a guarantee of coming back when he gains more experience. The curtain is closing for Raul though.

In reality there is a spot waiting across town for him if he decides to. Espanyol anyone? Maybe a player swap deal if Barca wants Cesc that badly.

If a player is good enough then they are old enough, or young enough in the case of Raul. Both players are a clubs that try to win everything they enter so no doubt both will get 20 or more starts this season and a chance to put themselves in their managers thoughts.

Bojan is only 19, plenty of time left. In Italy, he’d still be playing in youth teams.

I could easily see Bojan traveling elsewhere for first team play, whereas with Raul – no way. But as a follower of La Liga football, even in the friendly season, it’s hard to ignore what an influence Raul has been on the pitch, even with the shiny (and expensive) new toys Madrid has acquired. He’s scored (by my count) 4 goals in the appearances he’s made so far, and not just easily poached goals at that. Where Ronaldo(v.2) has been struggling to adapt with Madrid’s style of play, Raul’s experience is proving his value. And despite the fact that wads of cash spent = starting spots, Raul’s legendary sway will probably mean that he still gets plenty of time on the pitch, which might not be such a bad thing. Unless you’re a Barcelona fan, that is.

Still, Bojan could benefit from a year or two loan-out…I’m sure plenty of clubs wouldn’t mind paying for a talented youngster. You can only learn so much from being on the bench. Even if it is Barça.
