Real Madrid Makes A Statement

By: chris | February 11th, 2008

Valladolid could say they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. After Real lost to La Liga rookies Almeria 2-0 last weekend, they were surely out looking for some revenge. After 45 minutes on Sunday, they held a 5 goal lead on Valladolid and managed to knock in another 2 before the day was through. I wouldn’t say the Almeria game required hitting the “emergency” button, but hey, whatever you’ve gotta do to get the win.

(Corey is quite understandably in seventh heaven.)

Let’s stay on our toes next week, I don’t need to see 7 in the CL again…

While I doubt Juan and co will allow 7, I think you should worry that our attack put up seven with Robinho or Ruud. And with a banged up backline we have conceded very little in the past month. Should be a good game though.
