The 95 Yard Goal

By: Dave Martinez | October 24th, 2009

In a world where relegation is none existent, and football is called soccer, College leagues serve as the learning grounds for the young stars of tomorrow.

Here, Southern Methodist University freshman Ryan Rosenbaum saw an opportunity against College powerhouse Tulsa from yards away, and a lucky bounce has now put his name up in YouTube fame.

Ladies and gentlemen, the 95 yard goal (VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP! – Thanks Tommy ;P ):

Look @ the flag behind the goal, it is really blowing against the balls trajectory quite hard.

But doesn't everything in Tulsa have a bit more elasticity?
  • also, looks like tho the shooter intended a try on goal he shot it short hence the bounce - his real intention was to lob the keeper w/o the bounce. If the bounce was intended then make sure the guy enrolls in a physics degree

I saw this on the yahoo front page. Interesting how it's being described as such a good goal when the stupidity of the goalkeeper is the only reason it went in.

@ Tommy Wongs first post: Quality.

Awesome goal too. I'm suprised because I always found goal keeping to be one of our countries strong points, even right down to the college level.

    Yikes.
  • Tommy, as always, when you are right, you are right . . .

Dave, I see you're writing on the front page, and Imma let you finish, but "video after the jump" was the best idea of all time. OF ALL TIME.
