Of all the footballers to get a song…Kevin Constant. And not a terrace song which involves three lines and rhyming striker with pterodactyl. Proper song. Sort of. His name’s Don Rik. It’s an Italian rap. And it involves a lot of lyrics about Kevin Constant, as well as other footballers. And a scantily clad girl who might be playing dead because some dude just broke into her bedroom and starting rapping to a camera. Plus Constant makes a cameo early in the video, and he appears to be talking.
Amateur lip reading says: “Who is this guy? Why is he standing near me? What is this terrible song behind me? Who had a stroke and gave him that hair? What the hell is going on?”
Ajax has some of the best – or at least community-immersed – kit launches of any club in the world. A couple of years back they brought out the new kit by crashing a pick-up match in the park with a camera crew, then handing over the shirts to the players they’d just….treated kindly. Several years ago they did a shirt swap in downtown Amsterdam. This time, they dropped off the new shirts themselves; Danny Blind, Siem De Jong and Kolbeinn Sigthórsson showed up as the delivery men. The woman with the rollers adds a nice touch.
Kenny Cooper scored a pk to bring the game even. The world scored a great gif(t) as he attempted to celebrate. Isn’t it the portly one who’s supposed to fall over?
Stay graceful, Kenny.

The World Cup in Brazil is sneaking up rapidly - only 17 months until the country goes bananas for the Selecao, and 18 until they riot when someone else wins it all. Today, they released the official poster and logo, which is a design spaced such that it creates a white Brazil in the center.
Sadly, no photo of Neymar, as personally requested by Pele.

The inevitable has happened: Raymond Domenech's written a book. It's called All Alone (Tout Seul) and it appears to have a heavy focus, if it's not entirely centered upon, the French World Cup 2010 fiasco. And in typical Domenech fashion, it's been done with drama, controversy and throwing absolutely everyone in the vicinity underneath the bus. Which might not make for a great football coach, but it damn sure aids in selling books. A few excerpts of name-calling, yelling and weeping from Ray's autobiography(ish) reveals his true feelings, and that he thinks Franck Ribery is a bit of an ass. Though who doesn't.

While much of the world is partaking in meaningless friendlies, some World Cup Qualifiers are happening, such as the one between Oman and Japan. This shot of some "spectators" atop the stadium in Muscat makes it all worth it.
This is my first attempt at Live Bloggery, but hopefully it's slightly less challenging than rocket science for a tech-challenged person such as myself. JG is going to be doing our recap today, and hopefully Darren will stop by during the live blog as well. I think Brenton
