This is brilliant. Until you realize that one complete side of the pitch is exposed to harbor winds.

(Not that I’ll pretend to know much about the winds in Singapore.)

    The grandstand that is there is used for the F1 race, you can see the chicane in the top photo.

    Nice to see something from the little red dot turn up here, but let me temper the enthusiasm a little. The silly thing is that no match played there can be televised properly because the lights aren't bright enough, and there isn't enough space for cameras on three sides of the pitch, IIRC. One top-level game was moved to another stadium because the metal beams cast shadows onto the pitch... I'm not sure if/how they fixed that.

    i hear you jack...back in high school we used to play inside a cage with a concrete pitch which was big enough for 11 v 11, anyways to stop people from wasting time during the end of games the rule was every time someone hit the ball out it was an own goal...i hated it cuz being a goalie i loved doing just that
  • Good place for when you're winning and want to waste time in the last few minutes of the game.
