The Offside Podcast Episode 1

By: Bob | October 30th, 2007

microphone.jpgWith all the quality podcasts on the Web, you could fill your entire week listening to footy talk. Add another one to your playlist: The Offside Podcast. Ian of Scotland Offside and UEFA Cup Offside fame and Anne of California Victory Offside fame have collaborated to put together the first episode. They are joined by Ryan of Sevilla Offside fame. I’ve been told that future broadcasts will also include contributions from others in our merry band of bloggers, which is a cool, cool thing. Give it a listen (Note: it is a large file and may take awhile to load. We’ll work on that in the future. It also only works if you save the file to your computer first.) and if you have any feedback we’d sure appreciate it.

We’re having some technical difficulties … I promise, folks - it is longer than just 5 seconds of intro music. There’s words and everything. I hope people will let us know what they think, and if you represent one of the (many) leagues we didn’t talk about on this show, get in touch with me and we’ll get you on the show to talk about your league/team. Thanks.

Oh, nevermind. Apparently if you follow Bob’s instructions (which I didn’t) and save it to your computer, it works fine. We will make it a bit less cumbersome in the future and hopefully get it to run right in a browser.

S00per! Liked what I heard (except all that “Arsenal rocks” shit haha), I’ll try to get my act together and participate in the second one.

Thanks, Inara. We definitely need and want all the help we can get. We centered on England and Spain this week, so France is definitely due for some coverage. You and Sam should both come on.

I don’t do audible anything. Seriously, there is no connection between my brain and my mouth. But I shall support you all the way. :-)

jk - We’re certainly working on it. I’ve put podcasts on iTunes before, but never with Wordpress, so it might take a while, but we’ll figure it out. I hope you like the show. Keep in mind it’s our first - It will get better.
