Vote: Which Euro 2008 Team Bus Has the Best Slogan?

Voters on the UEFA’s official Euro 2008 website have been choosing team slogans to plaster on the 16 Euro 2008 team buses. Some good choices from the fans – I particularly like Portugal’s “This coach is driven by the Will to Win” (above.) Some interesting comparisons too.

For example, Poland’s cheery “… because only sport and good fun counts!” contrasts rather nicely with the more serious “Germany – one team – one purpose.” You can definitely tell which set of fans is expecting a trophy.

And Spain’s “Whatever happens, SPAIN ALWAYS” arguably suggests they’re expecting something to go wrong.

You can see all the slogans as they appear on the team buses over at our Euro 2008 Blog (which still has some of that nice new blog smell) and vote for your favourite there. Or if you’re too lazy to click that link you can vote for your favourite below…

There is a real insight into the mentalities of the fans going in. The Romania one is really nice I think, a sense that hey we’ve got here and thats what matters.

This would be what Romania needs in a group with France, Italy and Netherlands.

So I voted for Turkey, but chose to read it that they were talking about the bird.

Laurie – Too true. Its a shame because they have some decent players, but yeah they don’t stand a chance in that group. Whereas the German’s can afford to sound confident as they should win thiers at a canter.

Englands would be something rubbish about passion and blood sweat and tears and finishing in the Quater finals…

Rob, you sure it wouldn’t be, “Becks could shoot clear over this bus from 11 meters away”? Ba-dum-bum.

It would be interesting to note if some of the “well we’re just glad we made it here” type of slogans were picked before or after the draw… (see: Romania)
