A Name to Remember: Adriano Duarte

Yesterday was a good day for talented young footballers. Arsenal’s Theo Walcott was recalled to the England squad after a nearly two year absence, Freddy Adu was bending it like a left footed Beckham for the USA U-23s, while Alexandre Pato continued his good form for Milan by setting up their only goal against Sampdoria.

And in Copa Libertadores Group 7, we learned a new name. Little Paraguayan team Sportivo Luqueno claimed a 1-1 draw at home to Brazilian giant Sao Paulo, thanks to 17 year old Adriano Duarte’s injury time equalizer.
