Chile’s U-20 team will remember its Canadian Vacation

canadian-mountie.jpgIt has been quite a couple of weeks in Canada for Chile’s U-20 World Cup squad. They had a nice run to the semifinals of the tournament. They had a nice run in with some women of the night and their pimp. And now they have had a nice run in with the Canadian police.

After being bounced from the tournament by Argentina in a match that featured a couple of ejections and more cards than in a playing deck, the Chilean players chased after the referee after he blew the final whistle. Their anger didn’t stop there. It spilled over to the team bus outside the stadium in Toronto where they got into it with the po-po.

“Next thing you know, the bus just unloads and there’s eight, 10 players come off the bus and there’s just fists flying everywhere, between the cops, the security guards, a couple of ladies were involved that were security,” said reporter Nathan Denette.

“It looked like a big dogfight. People throwing fists and cops with their billyclubs out and then all of a sudden it got out of control.”

A police officer then Tasered one of the people in the melee though it was unclear if he was a player or an official with the Chilean team.

If only they had shown as much fight in their 3-0 loss!

After handcuffing the players and taking them back to the locker room where presumably their punishment was to watch video of their performance in the game, the police let them go without making any arrests.

I still cant understand this: The argentenian team approach and greet their fans after the finals at the U-20 world cup. Chile's team attempts to do the same after the semi-finals, but instead, they get beaten, punched, tasered, arrested and maliciously treated and the Canadian police justifies that by saying this is the procedure to de-escalate the situation....The situation escalated because of unecessary police intervention.

George> Thanx for telling me what I saw. lol, nice use of language. *rolls eyes* ...really adds to your credibility.

Dustin> I understand that the ref has a unique view to the game. But to get that many calls wrong is questionable. Perhaps this is the wrong job for him.

I'm glad all of you seem to know exactly what happened, being that you all were there and understand security policy and everything. You also all seem to understand what exactly the referee's saw in every incident and don't seem to understand you have close up different angled views with slow motion replay where you can take your sweet time to judge everything that happens. Why not wait for an investigation to occur, or for more information to come out rather than being like the Chilian press, and trying to incite there people against the Canadian government. Also a comment to Mr. Blatter. You do realize that you're the FIFA president. In which case you can't do a goddamn thing about this. So why don't you stop acting like you're going to hold the Canadians accountable or the Chile players accountable. You can't do anything because this has nothing to do with Football, so STFU.

soze get ur shit straight. n all the canadian media. get the fuckin story straight too. the chile team tried to greet the fans. cops were pushin em into the bus. thye dont speak english, they didnt know wat thef uck was goin on. so they kept tryin to move past the cops. cops and security now pushed them in. closed off the bus door n threw in tear gas into thee bus. they broke windows so thye can see n breathe. sanchez ran off the bus to escape. cops beat the shit outta him. the teams doctor ran out to help sanchez becuase he had an injured shoulder n the faggot cops made it worse. n the doctor got stomped too. all the canadian media seem to leave out he part that tear gas was thrown into the bus. all they say is that the players bvroke the windows n trashed the bus. WHY? cuz they havce to make it seem like chile was to blame or the canadian government would their fuckin asses sued soo badly. after they broke the windows 10 players got arrested. FOR WAT? tryin to escape a locked bus filled wit tear gas? but again no one in the canadian media says this. they also dont say that security were smashing the chilean reporters cameras. fuck. go figure why. fuckin pussy ass cops. nigeria says theyw ere shown racism becuase of an offside call?? fuck off. wat chile got was racism. fuckin niggers use that shit for everythin. thye pussys too

Oz, It was not the Canadian police that attacked the Chilean players.

There were both supporters outside of the stadium waiting to greet their teams and during this wait there were some tensions, but no incidents.

As the Chilean side was coming out, some Argentinians started taunting them. Chile's fans at that point defended the players and things got heated between the fans. At this point the police got nervous and started trying to 'control' the crowd and things escalated. The players came to the defense of the fans and there you have it...a games worth of frustration came out.

That first red card was ridiculous// No one seems to mention that Chile's Medel was actually kicked by the Argentinean player before he responded by kicking the ball and being sent off. Argentinas u-20 team should be ashamed of themselves.
