Count Carlos Arias Saves One, Two, Three…

By: The Offside | October 23rd, 2012

Can’t keep a good man down, but the referee damn sure did try. Three times a penalty was taken against Carlos Arias of Bolivian club Oriente Petrolero, the first two chalked off because he’d left his line. All three were saved.

If the authorities find a body in a ditch – Carlos, the referee, a small monkey (this is football, after all) – we’ll know someone forgot to slip Carlos the note.
