I Meant To Do That, I Swear

These are my absolute favorite types of goals: the wondergoals which were never supposed to be, but decided to find their way into the back of the net anyway. Of course, if you were to ask Juan Manuel Salgueiro of Estudiantes, who scored the one above, if that was his intent, I’m sure he’d tell you it was. (Bullshit.) And as far as fluke goals go, that one is pretty spectacular. Reminds of Juan Antonio Goicoechea against Germany in ‘94 and Ronaldinho against England in 2002. (Vid’s after the jump.)

My favourite fluke goal was Danny Dichio for TFC vs. the Revs in stoppage time of the last game of the season last year. PANDEMONIUM at BMO.
