The Dribbly Magic of Franco Zuculini

By: Daryl | October 4th, 2008

Racing beat Rosario Central 4-1 in the Argentinean Apertura last night, with Franco Zuculini crafting an absolute gem for the first goal. When the teenage midfielder receives the ball, it looks like he’s got nowhere to go. And when he starts dribbling in circles it looks like he’s going nowhere.

But after turning this way and that and drawing what looks like the entire Rosario team around him, Zuculini bursts free of the pack and finishes neatly.

Can’t tell you much about this kid except that he turned 18 in September, that this is his second season in professional football and that he definitely looks like a name to remember.

I did that in practice last week. hahah. It was just luck though..
  • it is a good goal and i am sure he is a good player, but in this case here, he was helped very much with a gap in the defense where he put up speed and just passed through.

all the players around were worthless because they were on his side where nobody was in front of him!

Franco Zuculini was part of the U-17 Argentinean NT in Korea 2007 WC.
    Excellent prospect.
