This is Why Goalkeepers Hate YouTube

Horrible, horrible, horrible goalkeeping mistake in Campeonato Brasileiro Série B this past weekend. For some reason the Gama keeper thought he was playing left back, from there played the ball straight to an Avaí player, who knew a free gift when he saw it and curled it into the far corner of the empty net.

No idea what the Gama keeper’s name is, but after a howler like that he’ll probably want to keep it that way.

    Why would the keeper be out so far especially with opposing players so close and why wouldn’t he have just cleared it out?

    What a terrible game for Gama. One of their defenders actually scored two own goals before this goalie error. They lost 3-0, at home, leaving them in next-to-last place in the Série B.
