Vagner Love, Not War.

love6Despite being reigning Brazilian champions, Flamengo and their monster domestic strike force of Adriano and Vagner Love aren’t going through the smoothest of patches. Adriano is still fat, still drunk, still dating crazy people and still not showing up for training. Which is fine so long as he sells shirts, fills seats and scores goals (likely in that order).

Vagner Love was brought in on loan from (lovin’ the Champions League) CSKA Moscow to supplement Adriano’s goals with more goals – Brazilians the world over faint – but his off-the-pitch troubles have caught up with him too, what with being spotted with a small militia a couple days ago.

Less impressive is Vagner showing up at a “party funk” (long live Google Translate) with men wielding large weapons in a Rio slum is the actual weapon which is being used: a Swedish anti-tank weapon being used by the US military in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Apparently Amazon Marketplace is doing even better than we thought.

The video has landed Vagner in deep trouble, because though these men are well equipped to handle tank onslaughts at a “party funk”, they’re also known drug dealers. This falls under the prying eyes of such people as the police, the club directors, and the police.

The “party funk” happened in late December, and the timing of its break could hardly have been worse, coming days after violence between Flamengo and Vasco fans which saw one die and many injured.

Flamengo will be unveiling a new club code shortly: Put down the anti-tank weapons and make Vagner Love, not war. And a salad every once in a while.

  • Adriano is also in trouble for buying matching motorcycles for himself and a cocaine drug lord (one red, one black). Well, I guess on paper he bought the bike for the guy's mother (who is 67). According to La Gazzetta, the police have some questions for poor Adriano.
