Ronaldinho Wins the Milan Derby

By: Daryl | Comments 18 Comments

Oh, the ups and downs of being Ronaldinho. The toothy legend was recently left out of the Brazil squad by Dunga, and it wasn’t clear whether he’s start the Milan derby or not.
But not only did he start, he went and won the game with an absolutely glorious header. The header is impressive enough - [...]

Photo of the Day: Who Likes Short Shorts?

By: Daryl | Comments 9 Comments

Apparently Ronaldinho likes short shorts. This photo was taken during Milan’s 3-1 UEFA Cup win over FC Zurich yesterday.
Good win for Milan (finally) but not a happy day for ‘Dinho. He started on the bench and didn’t come on until the 75th minute with Milan 3-0 up. Zurich scored three minutes later.

Man City Want Thierry Henry, Mark Hughes Just Wants Some Kompany

By: Daryl | Comments 1 Comment

There was always something fishy about Man City’s pursuit of Ronaldinho. It didn’t feel quite right, I think for two reasons: 1) He was never really going to join, and 2) The plan to sign him up seemed to be based on his big name status, rather than what he was capable of offering Citeh [...]

Footballer Fired for Being Too Fat

By: Daryl | Comments 2 Comments

Fat footballers are part of the modern game. Whether it’s players actually letting themselves go (see: Ronaldinho recently) or players who get lumped with the overweight label because it’s easy alliteration (see: “Fat” Frank Lampard). It’s a phenomenon that goes all the way back to William Fatty Foulke, who really deserved the title.
But no professional [...]
