While the rest of Chelsea was celebrating, Branislav Ivanovic was off in the interviewing area, being reminded that despite his heroics as the club’s only pseuo-centerback, he’ll miss the final through suspension. He looks like a little boy being reminded that yes, his puppy is still dead.

The internet is rife with criticism for Geoff Shreeves, but it was hardly maliciously done. No nanner nanner. No armchair psychiatrist session. No Mourinho-esque celebration through the interview area.

But if Shreeves was going to take this much heat, he might as well have gotten his money’s worth.
