It’s all about balls in cups today, as the 32 teams who made it to the Champions League group stage will be drawn into eight groups of four.

I agree with you, Sam. These seedings are terrible.

I don't so much think the English teams got an easy draw, but all of the big teams have a pretty easy way through. I'm all for parity and having some smaller teams get a chance at the CL - but I think we can reliably predict about 13 of the 16 knockout participants, more than in most years. Give me back my groups of death.

Seedings are bullshit. Wolfsburg win the German league and are in pot 4, while the runners-up are in pot 1? Same for France where the 1-2-3 league finishers are ranked in the opposite order. Result: Three groups of death (A, C, F) and three groups of shit (B, G, H)

Why does everyone think that the English clubs have an easy draw? CSKA, Besiktas and Wolfsburg are not to be underestimated. Porto and Athletico are both capable of going far in the tournament. Same for Lyon, Fiorentina are also a very good team. Ok Arsenal...do have an easy group. Some of the press seem rather ignorant in disregarding these teams.
