Estadio da Luz Lands 2014 Champions League Final
By: The Offside | March 20th, 2012
It would seem unlikely, but only one major continental final has landed in Portugal since Euro 2004, and it was the 2004-05 UEFA Cup final at the Estadio Jose Alvalde. (Sporting Lisbon’s stadium – the one which looks full when empty.) Even the Dragao has thus far missed out on hosting a hoisting despite looking like stadium adult cinema from afar.
UEFA rectified that today, handing the 2014 Champions League final to Benfica’s Estadio da Luz, which hosted the Euro 2004 final.
And now you can look at all the big pretty pictures of the big pretty stadium.
