Italy’s European Progress In Miniature

By: The Offside | August 29th, 2012

Despite their foray into the deepest paths of the European Championships, Italy’s continental fates have not been very kind of late. Losing a Champions League spot to Germany has been a harsh blow.

Pablo Armero had a moment of “commentary in miniature” during yesterday’s loss to Braga, which dwindled Italy’s European participants at the highest level down to two.

That Udinese went out on Maicosel’s poor decision making is simply salt in the wound. (Until a parliamentary committee decides otherwise, where Italy’s European standing is on the line, only Andrea Pirlo is allowed to Panenka.)
