Watch the Champions League Online to Cure those Work Week Blues
By: Bob | October 17th, 2006
Everyone’s (or least my) favorite high stakes European football competition returns to action today and tomorrow so now you have no reason to do any work, feed the kids or think about anything other than the Champions League.
The matches this go-around are among the most compelling we’ll see in the group play round. The eagerly anticipated match between Chelsea and Barcelona has even more intrigue with an unlikely player between the posts for Chelsea. I’m also looking forward to seeing Celtica and Benfica slug it out, as well as Bucharest Steaua take on a very beatable Real Madrid side at home ( I know, I probably just jinxed my Romanian boys).
Below are a list of the matches and their previews. You can catch streaming broadcasts of the Champions League online any number of places including for free with our Chinese pirates friends or for a $9.95 fee payable to the money hogs at ESPN if you happen to live in the United States.

Dynamo Kiev vs. Lyon
Steaua vs. Real Madrid
Celtic vs. Benfica
Manchester United vs. Copenhagen

Anderlecht vs. AC Milan
Wednesday

Steaua – Real Madrid : 2 – 0 -> no matter where you watch it

I downloaded the software this morning, the whole time visualizing little bugs consuming the innards of my computer. But it worked, and I got to watch CSKA vs. Arsenal. For free. In Chinese. With the British patter softly playing in the background. Which was kind of fun.
But now… Well, great. I could have cured cancer, brought peace to the Middle East, and written the great American novel. But instead I got addicted and spent my life watching bootleg footy on my computer. And it’s all Bob@worldcupblog’s fault.
