Lionel Messi Takes His Spectating Very, Very Seriously

By: chris | December 21st, 2009

Decent weekend for Lionel Messi. But it wasn’t all fun and games, as he was forced into scouting the third-placed game between Pohang Steelers and Atlante during the Club World Cup. Two teams he will likely never face again, if percentages are any sort of indication.

That didn’t stop him from giving a swift slap in the back of the head to the man in front with a stern reminder to be quiet. Very quiet. Apparently unaware of the thousands and thousands of other people were in the stands emitting words and other unintelligible sounds too.

Or maybe he’s trying to add Franck Ribery’s comedy crown to his ever-growing slew of trinkets.

(The headline You Don’t Mess With The Messi was successfully avoided. Somehow.)
