There is just a lot going on with Werder Bremen right now, isn’t there? The northerners crashed out of the UEFA Cup, but Diego was able to remind everyone that he is just that good. With all the drama, impending turnover and likelihood of a lengthy Bayern run at the top of the table, his European suitors have surely taken notice (European suitors being anyone with a big enough bank account). So while he couldn’t put his team into the next round, he damn sure added to his highlight reel with this absolute beauty. You know, just in case.

  At first glance, I read “Diego” as “Digao” and had to do a huge double take. You almost gave me hope that he wasn’t as bad as he seems. Pity.

  Being a Werder-supporter i fear that Diego will leave quite soon, I just hope he will still be there next season. Qualifying for next years CL-season therefore is a must!!
