Tim Wiese Doesn’t Like European Nights
By: chris | March 6th, 2008Tim Weise knows a little something about gaffs in European competition, unfortunately. On Wednesday it was a little more of the same, though this one a little more excusable than the first (and on a smaller stage). Daniel Cousin took a shot from way out and Tim knocked it up, only he knocked it up and backwards into the goal for the first goal of a 2-0 Rangers win. Maybe he needs a hypnotist or something to convince him he’s still in the Bundesliga.

Wiese didn’t have much going right for him today; that first goal was only the half of it. Here’s the other vid, barring UEFA internets police crackdowns.

(I just found it on the same site as the original)

And that is why Wiese will never get picked by Jogi Loew.

Oh dear oh dear, that was what you can only call a severe bout of calamity ‘keeping!
It’s a shame really because, although I don’t get to see enough German football to really comment on the guy but from what I have read over the years, Wiese seems to be a decent keeper, I just hope this error doesn’t wreck his confidence.Posted from
