I think the big factor is, even more importantly than Mutu, Liverani will be back. There was a clear gameplan on beating Everton this week and Fiorentina just couldn’t execute it. They needed a veteran who could sit on the ball, slow down the children and pull the strings. If they can play a slower tempo, the Viola should walk through Rangers. The bigger test is PSV.

Rangers, should they triumph over Sporting, will be a huge hurdle for Fiorentina even if they do go past PSV, don’t you think? It may well be an Everton-style game, and that could end badly a second time around.
