Female Streaking for the Red, White & Blue

By: Laurie | March 16th, 2008

Here’s what I want to know. Why is it that when we females get male streakers at soccer games they tend to be doughy, pudgy types? But when you guys get female streakers like Tiffany May they’re lovely and fit?

Life is so not fair.

This was from the USA vs Honduras U-23 game last night. Not only did the USA boys advance (in what was by many accounts a rather dreary game), they got eye candy to make it more enjoyable.

Fear not, sensitive viewers. She wears her undies AND the American flag throughout.

(Thanks, for the link, Johnny!)

I hate to discuss semantics, but she was not naked, thus not a streaker. However if females feel the need to run on the field in their undies, I will not argue….:-D

Laurie, I totally agree with your synopsis on the aesthetic inequalities between male and female (semi) streakers. I hope the new US Women’s League can work to fix this for us.

Matt, you may be right, but “semi-clothed pitch invader” doesn’t have the same ring. Plus it wouldn’t have fit in my headline.

Whatever you want to call it, I approve and encourage more of it!

    Ditto Matt.

What I‘d like to see, is for a fully naked female streaker (if that ever happens) to be rugby-tackled the same way the males do, whenever they strut their stuff on the grass. I really wonder if a steward would have the balls to do it…

Kudos to FSC for not only showing the lovely lass (which as Laurie pointed out, normally in any sport the TV people never show the streaker, they just show some bored looking players standing around til the streaker is taken off the field); as I say kudos to Fox for not only showing her gleefully trotting around, but then showing a replay of it!

Easily the most thrilling moment of the game.

There is a video of a fully naked female streaker somewhere in our archives. I’ll see if I can’t track it down for you.

No rugby tackle that I remember, though.

USA is so lame - they are so puritanical they cannot even get streaking right. To “streak” you need to be naked. Clothes-free. Without covering.

They should fine her twice as much for this reason alone.

Ahh, but I dare say that was a thong, right ladies? So the crowd at least got a little more of a show.
