Daryl, dont worry, people from Milan think that Rome is the South. Romans, though, would be quick to point out that the South starts with Naples. It is all about perspective :)

i’m not gonna bother to predict anything either, but i’m positively giddy for games this weekend, and Valencia v. Sevilla seems like another game worth watching this weekend too

I’m surprised someone with his history heading up Football italia would make a mistake like that. Lazio (the region in which Rome is) and Tuscany are central Italy, anything Campania (Naples) and south would be part of il Mezzogiorno, or Southern Italy.

I listened to the Football Weekly podcast yesterday, and heard James Richardson describe it as north vs south. But looking at a map, Rome is clearly central.
