By: Bob | May 15th, 2007
We all know that in the world of football the rich clubs keep getting richer and the smaller clubs are left fighting for table scraps. The Champions League is certainly playing a role in all this. When you look at the television cash and prize money that the English Premier League teams brought in during in 2006/07 you see that the big four all benefited greatly from the big European Cup.
These figures don’t include gate receipts, merchandise income and sponsorship money, which only increase the disparity between those who are on the top and those who are on the street corner with their hands out begging.
