2010-11 European League Kickoff Dates
By: The Offside | July 13th, 2010
It’s almost that time of year again. With the World Cup Final over, the various teams and fans have retreated to either celebration or despair, it’s time to think again about club football. And yes, we know that there are several summer leagues already going, but we’re talking about the cream of the crop – the best leagues on Earth, like the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1. With hardly a breath after the final ball is kicked in Johannesburg, the big (and less big) leagues across Europe will begin. Here are the starting dates for all of them that we could track down, in order of when they kick off, and follow the links for our blogs on that league. We’ll add to them as we learn more, but if we missed any, please add them in the comments.
9 July: Ukrainian Premier League (Ukraine)
16 July: Czech Liga (Czech Republic)
17 July: Slovak Superliiga (Slovakia); Danish Superliga (Denmark)
23 July: 1. HNL (Croatia); Liga I (Romania)
30 July: Belgian Jupiler League (Belgium)
6 August: Eredivisie (Netherlands); Championship (England); Ekstraklasa (Poland)

(The Turkish Super Lig appears to throwing everything together last minute, but if you have any info we’ll gladly take it.)
