A month later, Stan Collymore isn’t one of the best strikers in England

It was a month ago that we all learned that one-time England international Stan Collymore was attempting to make a comeback. He said at the time: “A month from today I guarantee I will be able to stand side by side with any striker in the country and my physique will be up there with any of them.”

For Collymore’s sake I can only hope that this was not a money back guarantee because he has yet to resurface from his apparent training efforts in Spain and he can’t exactly afford to dole out money at the moment.
