A Name to Remember: Alexis Sanchez
By: Bob | March 27th, 2007
I’m not sure what they are putting in the water in Chile but all of a sudden the country is producing some exciting young football talent. I’ve already pointed you in the direction of the stud Matias Fernandez who has moved on from Colo Colo to play for Villarreal. Following in his footsteps is Alexis Sanchez, another young forward worth keeping an eye on in the coming years.
Known in Chile as “El Nino Maravilla” (the Wonder Boy), the 18-year-old forward recently turned some heads by scoring a hat-trick in Colo Colo’s victory over Caracas FC in the Copa Libertadores. Sanchez began his career at the tender age of 15 playing for Cobreloa. After one season he was signed by Serie A club Udinese for $3 million and then loaned to Colo Colo for this season.
Sanchez has played for his national team six times already after making his debut at the age of 17. A quick forward who can stop on a dime, Sanchez is expected to be partnered at forward with Matias Fernandez on the Chilean national team for years to come.
Surprisingly, there is no YouTube montage of the kid scoring goals set to questionable music, but there are some brief highlights of him repeating the same moves over and over and over again in the video below.

after all that he did in Colo-Colo ( the most popular team in Chile ) and now in River Plate ( argentina) Alexis will be the best forward in the world .. remember that!!!!!! his skills are amazing, and the best thing is that he hates press and all the marketing that applies everything he shows is on the field.
