Say Hallo to FootballFilter
By: Daryl | October 27th, 2008
We know we’re not the only blog in your lives. And that’s OK, we don’t ask for fidelity. We see other readers too. Hopefully.
But there are now so many footy sites on the interwebs – both blogs and mainstream media – that it’s sometimes hard to navigate.
Which is why I wanted to give a shout-out to FootballFilter, is a site that aggregates football news sources on one site, so you can literally scan all the headlines at once.
For the record, no money has changed hands here (unfortunately.) We were just contacted by FootballFilter and asked to have a look, so we did, because we have lots of free time. And we liked what we saw so thought we’d share.
FootballFilter’s front page carries the latest headlines from respectable British broadsheets, the less-respectable red-tops, mainstream media websites (BBC, Soccernet, etc) and some of the bigger blogs (including yours truly.)
Then there’s the ever-expanding blogs page (where you’ll find The Offside and our sister site WCB and the work in progress teams page.
But what really sold me personally was the multimedia aspect. On the audio/video page they’ve collected feeds of images and videos, as well as a pretty comprehensive roundup of football podcasts (Guardian Football Weekly etc) all embedded on the page and ready to play.
FootballFilter is live but it’s still in development, so go take a look and let us know what you think in the comments. I know the people behind the site are keen to hear any feedback, both positive and negative, and especially suggestions for what you’d like to see.

To be honest I don’t read any other football blogs besides theoffside/WCB, but this site looks good, I may start checking it out!

Interesting –there’s a lot of sites I haven’t seen before, but it’s way too skewed to the English leagues. I’d like the ability to customize it for, say, the Bundesliga or Serie A.
