I think it’s sad that Beckham is not having better luck with the Galaxy. I love having him here in the states, but maybe he would be happier going back to England? I would miss him though!

Other than the aforementioned tactics-problem (Milan play 4-3-1-2 Xmas tree formation, no space for Becks in there), English players just don’t succeed in Italy. Big clubs know that. That’s unlikely to change in the near future, and it certainly will not be starting with Beckham.

On the other hand, Victoria could use a wardrobe change…

Not sure if will happen, but as much as I am not a big Becks supporter, he can’t be responsible for knowing before hand how big of fuds the Gals front office was. Good to see MLS growing in spite of the Becks experiment going the way of the Pele experiment.

Francesco, Chris and I were just chatting about that. What’s funny is that the goal.com article (linked in the post) has this to say:

Milan don’t really have a natural right-winger in their team and Beckham will represent the perfect signing to continue building a squad full of superstars.

Which is kind of funny when you think about it — the article implies that they’re desperate to bring in a right-winger, almost as if they need one to collect the complete set. Nothing about whether a right-winger would fit into what they already have.

I wouldn’t be too quick to believe this, but stranger things have happened.
