Alisher Usmanov Negotiates with the Dead
By: Bob | October 12th, 2007
If the Grim Reaper ever has a head cold and needs to call in sick for the day, Alisher Usmanov would be a worthy replacement. The Uzbekistan-born, Russian billionaire has a dark air around him. Just ask the blogs he has tried to kill because they wrote some unpleasant things about him or ask the dead people whose shares in Arsenal he wants to buy.
It is no secret that Usmanov is trying to get his soiled, sketchy hands on enough shares of Arsenal to have a say in how the club is run. It is only surprising what lengths he is going to try to reach this goal. That includes trying to swoop up the shares of the club that belong to dead people.
A City source said: “When you have an institution like Arsenal, a lot of shares have been owned by people for many years. When they die they either get passed down or remain in the deceased’s name.
“I’m sure Usmanov will make good offers to people who perhaps don’t care quite as much about the shares as those who owned them before.”
Somehow the image of Usmanov chasing ambulances through North London springs to mind.
He currently owns 23 percent of the shares and it is believed that if he reaches 25 percent he will have enough power to influence decisions and to order mafia hits on players and fans alike.

I’m now waiting for the internet overlords to yank this site.
Also, that guy looks like he sweats bacon grease.
